We provide support through our Community Action Fund to organizations with CRA Charitable Status or through Community Support for non-profit organizations.

At Thrifty Foods, we value the relationships we share with our communities. We provide fresh food, supplies, funds and people to causes large and small, choosing to support community needs in our immediate neighbourhoods first. In short, we are always there.

If you are requesting support from the Community Action Fund (as a charity organization that has been granted charitable status by the Canada Revenue Agency) or for Community Support (non-profit community organizations that are not registered charities) please see below for additional information.

Community Action Fund Donation Requests

Our support of the local community is focused on building healthier tomorrows for more neighbours, by supporting the mental and physical health of children and families. Funding is centred on:

  • Healthy Bodies - removing barriers for more Canadians to access healthy and affordable food.
  • Healthy Minds -early interventions of child & youth mental health.

A healthy body and healthy mind go hand-in-hand, and the community groups we partner with support one or both of these areas of health and wellness.

Woven throughout our company are our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Through the Community Action Fund, we partner with marginalized groups to help provide the right ingredients to amplify our commitment to building a sense of inclusive belonging for all of our neighbours. Find our guidelines here.
